Save your work and close any open programs.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
1. Click Start.
2. Type cmd.
3. Right-click cmd in the results.
4. Select Run as administrator.
5. Click Yes if Windows asks for permission.

In the Command Prompt window, enter:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Press Enter and wait for it to finish.
- This can take quite a while.
- The percentage may appear stuck for several minutes. Do not close the window.
- Wait until it reports that the operation completed successfully.
In the same Command Prompt window, enter:
```
sfc /scannow
```
Press Enter and wait until the scan reaches 100%.
- Do not close the window while it is running.
- Windows will report whether it found and repaired any damaged system files.
Restart the computer.
After Windows restarts, run the Windows Update troubleshooter:
1. Click Start.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select System.
4. Select Troubleshoot.
5. Select Other troubleshooters.
6. Find Windows Update.
7. Click Run.
Follow the troubleshooter’s instructions and allow it to apply any recommended fixes.
Restart the computer again if prompted, then go to:

Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates
